Statement of Faith
APOSTOLIC FULFILLED PROPHECY
Statement of Faith

We believe that the bible is the word of God. We believe in its
authority to guide us in every facet of our natural and spiritual
lives. We believe that God is a spirit and manifested himself in
the flesh to redeem man from the consequences of sin.
We do not believe God to be a triad, separate, or co equal in
nature or power. We do believe Him to be one in number,
divinity and character. As the Israelites of old, we believe that
the Lord our God is one Lord. The Church declared the same
doctrine in the book of Ephesians.
Eph 4:5-6

5. One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6. One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all,
and in you all. KJV

The process of redemption begins with death to the old life of
sin through true repentance. True repentance is observable, as
John the Baptist noted (Matt. 3:10). There must be fruit or a
demonstration of repentance for one to continue the process of
redemption/ sanctification.

The blood that was shed on Calvary is the only atonement for
sin, for without the shedding of blood there is no remission of
sin (Heb. 9:22).

Salvation is incomplete without the application of His blood.
After one has died to sin, we are buried with Him in baptism.
Our identification with the Lord’s death and burial are faithfully
recorded in Rom 6:3

3. Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus
Christ were baptized into his death? KJV

This identification with the death and burial of Jesus Christ in
repentance and baptism effectively imputes the righteousness of
God through faith in His Name.

We believe that His blood is applied exclusively in water baptism
in the name of Jesus Christ as the following scripture portrays.
On the day of Pentecost, the crowd of Jews that heard the
preaching of Peter replied:

37. Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart,
and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and
brethren, what shall we do?

38. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every
one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins,
and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
KJV Acts 2:37-38

Therefore, water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is the only
biblical method that God authorized to remit sins.
See also Acts 8:16, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:5

After we are buried with Him in Baptism, we enter eternal life
through His resurrection through the infilling of the Holy Ghost.
Rom 6:4-5

4. Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that
like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the
Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

5. For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his
death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: KJV

When we receive the Holy Ghost, we receive Jesus.
The Holy Ghost is the Spirit of Christ that comes to us in
spiritual resurrection.

1 Peter 3:18

18. For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the
unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the
flesh, but quickened by the Spirit

Phil 1:19
19. For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your
prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
When an individual receives the Holy Ghost, His voice is heard
through the recipient.

EVIDENCE

Tongues is the evidence of new life.
John 3:7-8:
8. The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but
you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is
with everyone born of the Spirit."

NT:5456 Sound: phone (fo-nay') saying or language, voice  -
noise, sound, voice.

Tongues is the voice of the Holy Ghost

Acts 10:44-46
44. Even as Peter was saying these things, the Holy Spirit fell
upon all who had heard the message. 45 The Jewish believers
who came with Peter were amazed that the gift of the Holy Spirit
had been poured out upon the Gentiles, too. 46 And there could
be no doubt about it, for they heard them speaking in tongues
and praising God. NLT

Holiness

A person cannot be truly holy without the Holy Ghost. He alone
can make us holy. Holiness is a state that is brought about by
following the leading of the Holy Ghost through obedience to
His word. That will produce fruit of the Spirit, against which
there is no law. A person cannot “look holy”. Either you are or
you are not. The word helps us to measure what that entails. We
must seek Him in these matters.

Modesty

Not all who are modest are biblically holy, never the less we
firmly believe in biblical modesty in dress, attitude and lifestyle.
We do not strive to emulate the world by desiring its wealth or
the trappings of its success. Immodest desires for worldly
pleasures only conflict with the simplicity we find only in Christ.

2 Cor 10:12

12. For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare
ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they
measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves
among themselves, are not wise. KJV
We believe that the standards of God are higher and nobler than
the expectations of man.

Eschatology

We believe the entire message that the Apostles taught on the
day of Pentecost. The fundamental doctrines of initial salvation,
the nature of God and His oneness we whole-heartedly support
as we have stated earlier.
To adhere to the entire teaching of the Apostles we must agree
with Peter when he declared that the Holy Ghost was poured out
“In the last days”. The teaching and expectations of the early
Church were not without merit. Jesus gave them those
expectations when He predicted, “this generation shall not pass
till all these things be fulfilled.” Matt. 24:34

The Apostles filled Jerusalem with the expectation of the final
judgment of Jerusalem and its Temple. Stephen was judged a
blasphemer for declaring this same message. Acts 6:14

14. For we have heard him say, that this Jesus of Nazareth shall
destroy this place,
KJV

The destruction of Jerusalem would end the ceremonial
approach to God and disperse those who crucified and rejected
the Lord of Glory. The Apostles knew their message was correct
and Peter set the tone for the first revival that was to culminate
in the consummation of a new covenant.
Acts 2:17-20

17. And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will
pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your
daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions,
and your old men shall dream dreams:

18. And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out
in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:

Peter was quoting scripture out of the second chapter of Joel.
The entire chapter of Joel that Peter quoted from is full of “end
time “language. Many believe there is a very long period between
these two verses, but scripture and common sense forbids us to
do so.

19. And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the
earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:

20. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into
blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: KJV
